A friend asked me to restore this chair that their dog used as a chew toy. I have to Turn many of the spindles. I took the chair apart so I could sand all of the spindles and parts. I then glued all of it back together for good solid joints.
After applying the spray finish, it was returned to the customer.
This was not a restoration project, but one from scratch. I normally turn things round on the lathe. This one required cutting and steam bending the wood round.
The table is 36 inches in diameter. the top frames are four sections to create the frame. The table skirt is made of walnut cut to thin strips so they could be steamed and bent around a form.
The bottom is covered in blue velvet.
