We Care About Veteran Lives

Stop by our suicide prevention resource center in Albuquerque, NM

At Veterans Woodworking Workshop, we care about the lives of veterans, and we make sure they feel like they have a community in Albuquerque, NM. Our woodworking workshop acts as a suicide prevention resource center and aims to provide resources and an outlet for veterans who may be struggling.

Our shop's owner is also a veteran, and he knows what it's like to feel alone. Veteran suicide rates aren't often talked about, which is why we aim to shed a light on veteran suicide prevention in the area and nationwide.

Why our cause is important

Veteran suicide prevention isn't highlighted in everyday media. But our suicide prevention resource center aims to spread knowledge and awareness. Our cause is important because:

  • 22 veterans a day commit suicide across the country
  • 22% of veterans are diagnosed with depression
  • Over 48,000 veterans are homeless or at risk

If you're a veteran looking for a sense of community, come by our woodworking workshop in Albuquerque, NM.

We host a Veterans Day in the shop each month just for Veterans. It is the First Sunday of each month while the shop is closed to our customers. The shop time is 1pm to 4pm and we all collectively work on a special project to benefit our veteran community.
